Life already showed up this morning (like it does) and I’m proud of myself for getting up and trying out “grounding or earthing.”
Which is a simple mindfulness technique to get out of your head and get into the present. It honestly, helped.
I was feeling embarrassed and frustrated, but I was able to distract/disrupt my thoughts enough to get back control of my thinking and let it go….and it did.
Over a half an hour later I was still feeling a bit lighter and able to move on with my day instead of getting stuck in the loop.
*There are also interesting benefits. Over 20 peer-reviewed studies that found that earthing can:
ease pain and inflammation
boost mood
lower blood pressure
increase the surface charge on red blood cells, thereby reducing blood viscosity and clumping, which is associated with cardiovascular risk.
